Aaahhhh, nothing like deciding on remodeling the bathroom. A fresh, clean slate. Back when we purchased our home in 2017, we left the rooms as is. We just painted and moved right in.
Fast forward to 2022, we have been working in each room. This year, we focused on our main bathroom. Here’s what the bathroom looked like:

Talk about a throwback!
I told my husband if we were going to remodel this bathroom, I want to make sure that it’s a long lasting style. So then we researched. My goals were a farmhouse look, yet modern and clean. We went with white, brown color theme.

The subway tiles we went with are the small size with gray grout. I didn’t choose black or white because I wanted more of a blend. White grout would cause the bathroom to look dirty and the black grout would stand out too much. So the gray is perfect-in between shade.

Next was my open shelving. I told our contractor I wanted a closet but not with a door so that we have space. We decided on creating wood shelves. He literally burned them to make them look darker.

The worst part of our remodeling was our vanity. We ordered it 3times ! It was delivered broken, horribly broken. After many complaints, Lowes gave us a discount and finally shipped it in perfectly.
Okay, now for the white shiplap! This has to be my favorite part. At first, I didn’t want it and thought it would’ve been too much with the subway tiles. My contractor told me to try it, he will paint it white since it’s what I wanted to go with. I took a big breath,……

It was perfect! We paired everything with wooden tile floors.

A hugeeeee turnaround! I am so very happy with our results. I purchased mostly from Lowes and Target. The round mirror was actually cheap and from Amazon! This remodeling took about one month to complete.
I hope my remodeling will inspire you if your in need of ideas.
