Lemonade Themed Birthday

My daughter Aubrey turned 1 in September of 2020. But since I loved this theme so much, I decided to share with you how I set up a first birthday during quarantine.

Aubrey’s party was supposed to be at a catering hall with all of our family and friends. But since Covid restrictions we decided on doing a small intimate party with immediate family. I think that this was the best part because it wasn’t overwhelming for us or Aubrey. It gave us time to spend with everyone and we didn’t feel rushed.

To start, I chose lemons as her theme. The colors are beautiful and who doesn’t love lemons?! So first stop we went to our photographer, Teeny Tiny Tushies. Natalie is so amazing with children. We use her for all holidays. Here is a few:

How adorable?! I’m still in love with these pictures. I will forever cherish them.

To start planning for the backyard party, I thought of how to DIY a lemonade stand.

Wooden crates: Wooden Crates I painted the wooden crates white. Then found this lemonade banner from Etsy: Banner I then used wood glue to glue them together: Glue

This was the best part. I love adding my own diy to a party!

After that, we hired our friend A&R Catering to create a balloon arch and to make mozzarella right in front of us.

The guests LOVED this! We were able to watch how mozzarella is made and then eat a wonderful platter that was set up after.

To my beautiful now 2.5 year old daughter, I hope one day you’ll look back and realize how much we love you. I do these things for you, everyday. I love you with all my heart!

Stay tuned for her 2nd birthday post!

With her 3rd birthday approaching it’s time for me to brainstorm.

XO,

Daisy & Dumbbells
