There are many ways to lose weight. Fast diets, cutting calories, quick and easy gimmicks. But nothing adds up to what I have learned. At 32 years old, I have learned that my pasts experiences were doing nothing but harming my body.
I would skip meals, eat less, and workout too too much. I wasn’t taking in the proper nutrition.
After having a baby, I have learned that your body is so important. Invest in your body and it will take you far. Here are my top 5 ways to keep weight off.
1. WATER- Drinking water should be everyone’s #1 on their list. Fun fact- my maiden name actually means “drink water” in Italian- Bevilacqua. But yes, having 128 fl.oz of water daily is. A top priority. It is excellent for your skin, liver and kidney functions, and will keep your body regulated. I usually carry with me a 64 oz water bottle and fill it up twice for the day. You can find these on amazon:

2. COUNT CALORIES-This is what has worked for me for about 10 years. I finally found the right amount of calories working with https://www.abfitnesstrainer.com I learned that you can actually eat ALOT and still lose weight.
3. PRACTICE DAILY VITAMIN ROUTINE- Not only is it important to see results on the outside of your body, you also need to have results for you inner body! Taking daily vitamins help with all areas. I have much more energy taking the same vitamins and being consistent. See my blog post about the daily vitamins I take: https://daisysanddumbbells.com/2022/07/05/daily-vitamin-routine/
4. GET YOUR STEPS IN!- With a toddler, all the steps are possible! Chasing a little one around can be exhausting, yet beneficial. On average, you need to get at least 10,000 steps in your day. How do I do it? I put on my Apple Watch everyday as soon as I wake. My job requires me to walk a lot so I hit about 6-7,000 steps right there. Then, when I get home, I spend about 30 minutes taking a night walk. This is also very therapeutic for me. I relive stress and unwind for the night. I even take my daughter and dogs too. You won’t believe how much steps you can actually do.
5. WORKOUT- Many people believe that if you workout that it is just enough. No, working out is just 30% of the work that you put it in. 70% is NUTRITION! Working out at least 3x a week helps me stay focused and keep my body in shape. It is also something that I do enjoy doing. It doesn’t have to be a long workout. I spend about 30-40 minutes in the gym; doing upper body, lower body workouts. Don’t be afraid to hit those weights! It burns a TON of calories.
I hope that this post has inspired you to take a jumpstart into your health and fitness journey. Feel free to comment below your 5 ways to keep weight off!
