So, its 2018..I am sitting in a room full of old clothes, shoes, and bags. Usually, I would donate the old stuff I no longer wanted. But this time, something crossed my mind- Poshmark. I heard of the app but never thought it would work for me.
Sitting here, years later, I can say that Poshmark has become another source of income for me. So I am here to tell you my secrets what has worked for me over the years to make money and to do so quickly!
1. Change your USERNAME- One way to gain followers on Poshmark is to make sure that your name is on top of the friends list. How do you get on the top?? We’ll, I noticed that Poshmark alphabetizes friends. Once you click on someone’s friends list, I usually follow the first few people on their list. And guess what?! It’s alphabetically listed. So to make sure that people can add you, use a, ! And spaces in the beginning of your username, that way your profile will always be on top of the list.
2. Share and like EVERYTHING- To continue gaining followers and buyers, you need to be interactive with the community.. and once people see that you like and share their items, they will most likely do the same for you! I spend about 10- 15 minutes a day doing this…this also helps with people placing bids on your items as well.
3. SHIP EVERYTHING OUT ASAP- Shipping your items out in a timely matter helps…but shipping items out the next day definitely earns you points, therefore in return, a beautiful 5 star rating. Poshmark notices when you are on time with shipping and your ratings and reviews. This helps your profile and keeps you in good condition with Poshmark too.
4. Sell GOOD quality ITEMS for less- My Poshmark shop features many designer items, baby designer items, shoes, bags, coats, bathing suits, etc. How do I get my hands on these luxury items?!? I repost directly on the app! Some items are my own and some items I purchased fro the app and sold at a higher price. The following items sell pretty quickly: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Longchamp, YSL, Valentino, Chanel, & Kate Spade. I also make sure to start the price at a decent price, then begin the bidding process. Some items sell within a day!
5. BE DESCRIPTIVE- Your items need to have good quality pictures or videos, as well as a very detailed description. People like to ask a lot of questions on what they want to buy. Be sure to have all their answers in your description. Remember, the images and videos need to be your own unique photos. Don’t forget to share, share, share.
So to recap, being active daily on Poshmark has helped me to become successful. Being part of the community, helping each other grow and share items has helped me gain a following. Sometimes these followers share my items that I don’t even have to put in the work anymore!
